The Windfall Ghost Figurine - Fenwick
The Familiars do not belong to the guild. Not exactly.
They were never apprenticed, never sworn in, never given a merchant's mark. They simply... arrived. As cats do. And having arrived, they stayed. As cats do.
They learned the rhythms of the guild; the long hours, the careful work, the particular silence of a room where old things are being recorded. And they decided this was acceptable.
They are not catalogued in the Merchant's Ledger.
They are aware of this. They have opinions about it that they have chosen not to share.
Fenwick is most commonly associated with the final warmth left in a place after the fire has begun to die.
Repository notes describe him appearing near hearthstones, banked embers, and rooms that have only just been vacated for the night. Though rarely seen arriving, he is frequently discovered already in place, as if he had been keeping the last of the day’s heat under quiet observation.
Among older merchant accounts, Fenwick is regarded as a Familiar of lingering warmth, the sort that clings to stone, cloth, and timber after sunset. It is said that where he settles, a room remains welcoming a little longer than it ought to.
Fenwick the ghost cat figurine stands at 5 cm in height.
