The Windfall Familiar Ghost Figurine - Porridge
The Familiars do not belong to the guild. Not exactly.
They were never apprenticed, never sworn in, never given a merchant's mark. They simply... arrived. As cats do. And having arrived, they stayed. As cats do.
They learned the rhythms of the guild; the long hours, the careful work, the particular silence of a room where old things are being recorded. And they decided this was acceptable.
They are not catalogued in the Merchant's Ledger.
They are aware of this. They have opinions about it that they have chosen not to share.
Porridge is most often recorded in the quietest hours before sunrise, when the orchard floor is cold and the windfallen fruit still lies hidden among the grass.
Several Guild notes describe him sitting close to apples that have fallen during the night, particularly those missed during the previous day’s gathering. By morning, the fruit around him is said to be easier to find, though whether this is assistance or simple possessiveness has never been established.
He is regarded as a keeper of overlooked things: small harvests, forgotten offerings, and whatever the orchard has quietly surrendered while nobody was watching.
Porridge the ghost cat figurine stands at 5 cm in height.
