The Windfall Familiar Ghost Figurine - Æble
The Familiars do not belong to the guild. Not exactly.
They were never apprenticed, never sworn in, never given a merchant's mark. They simply... arrived. As cats do. And having arrived, they stayed. As cats do.
They learned the rhythms of the guild; the long hours, the careful work, the particular silence of a room where old things are being recorded. And they decided this was acceptable.
They are not catalogued in the Merchant's Ledger.
They are aware of this. They have opinions about it that they have chosen not to share.
Æble is most often recorded beneath the old orchard boughs after the first true fall, when wind-shaken fruit lies hidden in the grass and the air has turned sweet with bruised apple skin. Several entries describe him appearing where the ground is thick with windfall, as though he keeps watch over all that has been cast down before its time.
He is regarded as a Familiar of gathered abundance: a small watchful presence said to linger where baskets are being filled, stores are being laid by, and autumn’s quiet plenty is beginning to show itself. The older records advise that where Æble settles, one should pay attention to what appears lost, for it may only be ripening elsewhere.
Æble the ghost cat figurine stands at 5 cm in height.
