Iskelder is a handmade collectible Samhain Harbinger ghost figurine created by The Nordic Ghost Merchants in Denmark, inspired by autumn folklore, old seasonal traditions, and the travelling spirits recorded throughout Merchant accounts.
The Samhain Harbingers are travelling spirits of the turning season.
They arrive at the threshold between autumn and winter, when the evenings draw in, lanterns are lit earlier, and the old year begins to loosen its hold.

They are witnesses to change, quiet reminders that seasons turn, darkness passes, and you have weathered every hard thing that came before them.
They stand watch at the edge of the year, keeping their own counsel, carrying with them the hush of late autumn and the strange comfort of familiar shadows.
Iskelder is most often recorded on cold, unsettled evenings when wind moves quickly across the fields and the last colour of the day lingers low beneath a darkening sky. Merchant accounts note that he rarely appears in still weather, and is usually gone by the time the first true night fog begins to gather.
