Hakon is a handmade collectible ghost figurine created by The Nordic Ghost Merchants in Denmark, inspired by the Jævndøgn Ghosts; equinox spirits preserved in Merchant folklore and old Repository accounts.

The Jævndøgn Ghosts are said to appear around the autumn equinox, when daylight and darkness briefly stand in balance and the first heavy morning fogs begin to settle across the Nordic landscape.

Their pale, mist-grey forms are crossed with wandering shades of berry, wine and darkened fruit colours remembered from hedgerows, fallen leaves and the last ripening things of the season. No two carry the markings in quite the same way.

Old accounts place their arrival in orchards, field margins and quiet roads shortly before dawn, where they are easiest to mistake for low fog until they begin to move.

Hakon carries stronger traces of berry-dark colour around his crown and face, fading into quieter veins through the mist-grey folds below. His markings call to mind fruit-stained leaves caught against pale autumn fog, with the deepest colour gathering where the morning light has yet to reach.

Merchant records associate ghosts of this kind with orchard boundaries shortly after rain, when the ground is dark, fallen fruit lies beneath the trees, and the first low mist begins to collect along the grass.

Hakon the ghost figurine stands at just short of 8 cm in height.
