The Jævndøgn Familiar Ghost Figurine - Hinter

The Familiars do not belong to the guild. Not exactly.

They were never apprenticed, never sworn in, never given a merchant's mark. They simply... arrived. As cats do. And having arrived, they stayed. They learned the rhythms of the guild; the long hours, the careful work, the particular silence of a room where old things are being recorded. And they decided this was acceptable.

They are not catalogued in the Merchant's Ledger.

They are aware of this. They have opinions about it that they have chosen not to share.

A Familiar of the Jævndøgn, Hinter is said to keep to the outer edges of fields, where old hedges, ditches and rough grass mark the boundary between tended land and the places beyond. His markings carry the faded reds of bramble leaves and late fruit, broken through with the pale grey of equinox fog.

He is most often recorded just before dawn, moving along forgotten paths and field margins where the mist gathers deepest. Rural accounts describe him as difficult to follow; whenever approached, he slips quietly toward the hedgerow and is gone before the fog has fully lifted.
