The Jævndøgn Familiar Ghost Figurine - Elder
Awarded Entity Number - JM1246-TJFE
Chosen 3rd of October, in the Year of Quiet Hauntings.
Placed into the Federal Republic of Germany.
Elder is a handmade collectible Familiar figurine created by The Nordic Ghost Merchants in Denmark, inspired by the Familiars recorded throughout Merchant folklore and old Repository accounts.
Merchant folklore has never been entirely certain what to make of the Familiars.
They do not belong to the Guild. Not exactly.
They were never apprenticed, never sworn in, never given a merchant’s mark. According to the oldest Repository accounts, they simply… arrived. As cats do. And having arrived, they stayed.
They learned the rhythms of the Guild; the long hours, the careful work, the particular silence of a room where old things are being recorded. And they decided this was acceptable.
They are not entered into the Merchant’s Ledger as members of the Guild.
They are aware of this.
They have opinions about it that they have chosen not to share.
The Jævndøgn Familiars are most often associated with hedgerows, orchards and field margins around the autumn equinox, where berry dark colour remains beneath the first pale morning fogs.
Elder is usually found resting below the blackberry bushes of the orchard. Where many of The Familiars are drawn to the warmth of the fires, particularly in autumn, Elder stubbornly remains in the undergrowth.
Elder the ghost cat figurine stands at 5 cm in height.
These are handmade ghost figurines created from hand-poured jesmonite. Each pour produces a completely unique pattern.
These ghosts have hand painted bases, engraved with The Nordic Ghost Merchants logo and their individual names.
This ensures we offer the ultimate collectible ghost figurines.
