The Heliosts arrive with this long light. They come carrying the warmth of a sun that would not set, and a quiet knowledge they will not share. What they have witnessed in the spaces between dusk and a dawn that never truly came; this they keep

The landvættir were offered gifts at midsummer. Small things. Tokens of acknowledgment. Perhaps the Heliosts are what answered.
Elin is the boldest of the Heliosts. His gold runs deep. The guild believes he has stood at the solstice fire longer than any of his kind; long enough that the light has become part of him rather than merely reflected by him. The marks near his eyes predate the guild's records. He has offered no explanation. None has been requested.
