She is named for the sun goddess who drove her horses across the sky knowing wolves pursued her. Sol does not reflect the light. Sol is the light. Of all the Heliosts, she is the most purely herself; golden from crown to base, without interruption or uncertainty. She arrived at the solstice without announcement and has been entirely unsurprised by her own existence ever since.
