The Heliosts arrive with this long light. They come carrying the warmth of a sun that would not set, and a quiet knowledge they will not share. What they have witnessed in the spaces between dusk and a dawn that never truly came; this they keep

The landvættir were offered gifts at midsummer. Small things. Tokens of acknowledgment. Perhaps the Heliosts are what answered.
Lumi means snow. She arrived at midsummer anyway.
She carries the contradiction quietly. She's cool and pale as a Finnish winter, threaded through with gold. She is what happens when the longest night and the longest day reach an agreement.
