The Harbinger Ghost Figurine - Katja

The Harbingers are among the oldest of the travelling spirits. They arrive before change. They stand witness to what was and what will be. They are not an omen. They are a reminder that you have weathered everything so far.

Katja is often seen in the hush that follows upheaval.

Where some Harbingers arrive in the heavy air before change, Katja tends to appear at the moment the storm begins to loosen its grip; when the worst has been spoken, the decision has been made, or the door has finally closed behind what could not stay.

Her markings resemble bands of dark weather parted by a cold, pale light. She is watchful rather than solemn, and has a habit of seeming slightly turned toward something just beyond sight, as though listening for what comes next.

Katja does not rush the future. She lingers in the strange stillness after change, keeping company with those who are not yet ready to call themselves relieved, but who are no longer where they were before.

Those who keep her say she is a comfort in transitional spaces: after endings, after departures, after difficult truths, and in the quiet first hours of beginning again.
