The Harbingers are among the oldest of the travelling spirits. They arrive before change. They stand witness to what was and what will be. They are not an omen. They are a reminder that you have weathered everything so far.

Hugo has always travelled ahead of changing weather.

He has been recorded beneath darkening skies, at the edges of unfamiliar roads, and in quiet houses where someone has finally decided that things cannot remain as they are. His markings resemble banks of storm cloud gathering over the northern sea, though Hugo himself is gentle and remarkably patient.

He does not predict what is coming. Nor does he attempt to prevent it.

Instead, Hugo remains close while the world rearranges itself. He keeps watch over doorways, packed boxes, difficult decisions, and the uncertain first steps taken afterwards.

Those who have kept him say that his presence brings no answers. Only the strange, steady reassurance that change has come before, and that they survived it then too.
