Veyr is most often associated with the last hush of the hearth, when the fire has burned low and the room falls quiet.
Older merchant accounts describe him as a dusk-bound presence, lingering where warmth thins and evening gathers at the edges of the house.
He is said to appear with the turning season, when smoke hangs faintly in the air and the first cold settles into stone and timber.
Where Veyr rests, the atmosphere grows still and watchful, as though the house itself has paused to listen.
