The Eldritch are ghosts of that patience. Of centuries of Scandinavian winters leaving their mark on everything they touched.

They are not frightening. They are simply very, very old.

Cassius is said to have lingered in a stone passage where meltwater ran black with soot from the hearths above. The Guild notes that the stains upon him never faded, even after the passage itself dried.
