Gregory is among the most diligent of the Chroniclers.

He arrives before the lamps are lit, leaves only after the ledgers have been returned to their proper shelves, and has never once been heard to complain about an assignment.

His admiration for Ambrose, the Head Chronicler, is considerable. Gregory carefully preserves every note Ambrose leaves for him, even those reading simply file this or not that shelf.

He hopes, one day, to be entrusted with a ledger of his own. Until then, he continues his work with quiet devotion, correcting dates, tending records, and pretending not to notice whenever Ambrose praises him within earshot.

They are found where it is quiet. Where paper is old and spines are worn and the dust has settled undisturbed for longer than anyone can remember. They ask only for peace, for order, and for the particular satisfaction of a record correctly kept.

They do not haunt. They document.

Each Chronicler arrives with a task already in mind. Perhaps a ledger to complete or a shelf to organise. They are patient, thorough, and have strong opinions about filing systems that they will not be discussing with you.

They have been here longer than you know.

They will be here long after.

Gregory stands at just short of 9 cm in height.
