Selene the Buck Moon Fade - Scented Ghost Figurine

Handmade ghost figurine.

Some ghosts carry memories of their former lives. These memories cling to the ghosts as a scent. A tiny insight into where they once were. Scented ghosts will not fragrance a room. They are subtle and only really noticeable when you pick the ghost up and they gift you the tiniest memory of their home. The fragrance will fade with time, as the ghost builds new memories with his or her new ghost custodian. 

Selene is scented with night blooming jasmine & cedar.

Selene appeared at the window of a long-abandoned watch house during the height of the Buck Moon. Though the shutters had been fastened for many years, moonlight was found lying across the floor inside, and Selene stood silently at its centre.

When held, she carries the faintest memory of Himalayan cedar and jasmine. The Merchants suspect the watch house once overlooked a hidden night garden, tended by someone who waited there for a traveller who never returned.

Her fragrance is subtle and will soften over time, as the memories of that lonely vigil are replaced by warmer ones gathered in the home of her new custodian.

Only five Buck Moon Fades were recorded this season.

They appeared in the days surrounding the Buck Moon, each carrying the same strange descent from pale lunar ivory into the deep blue-black of the night beyond it. Their forms are softly mottled, as though the moonlight caught upon them has begun to weather with age.

Like all Fades, they are believed to have formed at the boundary between one state and another; neither fully illuminated nor wholly claimed by darkness. Each bears its own name, scent, and individual record.

No further manifestations are expected.
