Kattegat Ghost - Ivar
The Kattegat is not a kind sea. It is the strait between Denmark and Sweden where the North Sea meets the Baltic. It's a place of cold currents and old memories. Fishermen who worked these waters did not speak of what they saw beneath the surface. They did not need to. The sea remembers on their behalf.
The Kattegat Ghosts carry that water in them. Each one formed in the colours of an untamed Scandinavian Sea; pale fog, dark storms and the blue-grey of a sky that hasn't seen the sun in weeks. They arrived without warning. They may not stay.
Ivar has been on the Kattegat longer than the others and he knows it. He does not speak of what came before. He does not need to. There is something about the way he stands that makes younger spirits give him space without quite knowing why. He finds this satisfactory.
Ivar the ghost figurine stands at just short of 9 cm.
