Kattegat Ghost - Dylan
The Kattegat is not a kind sea. It is the strait between Denmark and Sweden where the North Sea meets the Baltic. It's a place of cold currents and old memories. Fishermen who worked these waters did not speak of what they saw beneath the surface. They did not need to. The sea remembers on their behalf.
The Kattegat Ghosts carry that water in them. Each one formed in the colours of an untamed Scandinavian Sea; pale fog, dark storms and the blue-grey of a sky that hasn't seen the sun in weeks. They arrived without warning. They may not stay.
Dylan did not come from the sea. Dylan came from the part of the sea that the sea itself finds a bit much. He has strong opinions about weather. He considers every sunset a personal challenge. Nobody has told him to calm down. Nobody has dared.
Dylan the ghost figurine stands at just short of 9 cm.
