The Pendle Press - Familiar Found Sitting on Apple; Fruit Entered into Evidence

A Windfall Familiar identified as Æble was discovered during morning inspection seated directly upon a recently fallen apple in the eastern orchard.

Initial attempts to recover the fruit for routine examination were unsuccessful.

Æble declined to move when approached and remained in position despite several requests, one formal instruction, and the presentation of an alternative apple of comparable size.

Records provide no recognised procedure for determining ownership of fruit occupied by a Familiar. The apple has therefore been provisionally entered into evidence while the matter is reviewed.

Ambrose has advised that the fruit is not to be considered part of Æble’s personal effects. Æble appears not to recognise this distinction.

At time of publication, the apple remains unretrieved.

Evidence remains occupied.
