The Pendle Press - Candle Allocation Disputes Enter Third Day
A dispute concerning the seasonal placement of candles has entered its third day following repeated attempts by Repository residents to increase autumn illumination without formal approval.
Several candles have been discovered on shelves, windowsills, ledgers, crates, and one location described by Ambrose as “entirely indefensible.”
Residents maintain that the darker evenings constitute sufficient justification.
Ambrose has reminded all parties that autumn atmosphere does not supersede fire-safety procedure.
Further candle allocations have been suspended pending review.
This decision has not been well received.
