Ghost Merchants Ledger Entry - The Jævndøgn Ghost Figurines
The Jævndøgn Ghosts are a collection of handmade ghost figurines and ghost cat ornaments made by The Nordic Ghost Merchants. These ghosts are inspired by the autumn equinox and Mabon. Foggy grey ghosts featuring ribbons of dark red and cerise to represent the vibrant shades of autumn.
The Jævndøgn Ghosts are said to appear around the autumn equinox, when daylight and darkness briefly stand in balance and the first heavy morning fogs begin to settle across the Nordic landscape.
Their pale, mist-grey forms are crossed with wandering shades of berry, wine and darkened fruit colours remembered from hedgerows, fallen leaves and the last ripening things of the season. No two carry the markings in quite the same way.
Old accounts place their arrival in orchards, field margins and quiet roads shortly before dawn, where they are easiest to mistake for low fog until they begin to move.
