The Pendle Press - Windfall Ghosts Recorded Following First Heavy Orchard Fall

Several ghosts have been recorded among the outer orchard rows following last night’s high winds.

The first were discovered shortly after dawn, standing between fallen apples as though conducting some private inventory of their own. Guild records note that Windfall Ghosts most often appear after the season’s first substantial fall of fruit.

A count was attempted this morning. The number of ghosts appears stable.

The number of apples does not.

Ambrose has requested that no fallen fruit be removed until the discrepancy has been properly investigated.
