Ambrose is rumoured to be furious at the imminent arrival of new sea ghosts. Last time coastal ghosts were present, his pond was disturbed for a fortnight. Water rose. Things rippled. His paperwork was damp.

A signed objection was received “The Chronicler wishes it known that the arrival of further maritime ghosts is not welcomed by this office. The disruption caused by the Skagerrak consignment has not been forgotten. The pond has only recently settled.”
