He is then hand painted and engraved.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Visitors are an unusual autumn occurrence within Merchant records. Pumpkin-headed figures wrapped in old travelling cloaks, they appear without warning during the darkening weeks of the year, often near roads, field boundaries and places where the harvest has recently passed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTheir origins remain uncertain. Some accounts describe them as travellers; others insist they are seasonal spirits following old routes long since forgotten. The Guild has never reached a satisfactory conclusion.
